Amoeba will be the second project of the first day at the Carpat Clay Festival.
Amoeba comes to life through organic shapes, metallic tones, and a transparent area that adds depth and contrast. A fluid piece inspired by nature and transformed into contemporary jewelry.
The project will be presented by Vass Tünde, and by the end of the day, each participant will go home with a unique necklace, created and personalized according to their own taste and style
Within this workshop, we will create a spectacular pendant inspired by the colors and mystery of the cosmos. “Galaxy” is a project that combines accessible techniques with impressive visual effects, transforming polymer clay into a small, wearable galaxy.
We will explore how to blend shades so that they flow seamlessly into one another, creating depth and vibration—just like the colorful regions of the sky we admire in astronomical photographs. You will discover how to achieve delicate transitions, patches of color, and subtle effects reminiscent of the dance of nebulae. Then, we will sprinkle shimmering accents, like stars lighting up the night sky.
The central element of the pendant—a modern, round shape—will become the focal point of the entire “galaxy,” bringing contrast and balance to the composition. Finally, we will explore finishing techniques to achieve a glossy, smooth, and professional look.
At the end, each participant will go home not only with a unique pendant, but also with the experience of a creative journey in which they shaped their own corner of the universe.
In Ildikó's class we will have the opportunity to make oval-shaped talismans from polymer clay with textures inspired by ancient Egyptian symbols.
Talismans represent a combination of modern art and ancient traditions, being decorative or energetic objects created to carry a message, a state or an intention.
In many cultures, talismans are worn to provide protection, bring luck or emotional balance.
To make them, we will use different textures, pigments, metallic foils, ancient waxes and a special form of baking. They are thus designed to be functional, mounted on a string and decorated with tassels, thus representing a balance between organic design and contemporary accents.
After completing the creation stages, each participant will go home with a unique talisman - a small work of art - that will bear the personal imprint of the artist and the energy of the moment in which it was created!
In this joyful workshop with Annamária, you will learn to create a vibrant necklace and matching earrings inspired by the warmth and rhythm of Habibi — a word meaning my love or my dear in Arabic. The name reflects the spirit of this project: full of affection, colors, and playful creativity.
The Habibi pieces organic, pebble-like shapes are crafted from leftover polymer clay, transformed into a stunning mosaic of texture and color. Through this sustainable and imaginative process, you’ll learn how to repurpose scraps into new artistic compositions — turning what might have been discarded into something truly beautiful.
Each piece combines bold, abstract motifs with a harmonious mix of colors like turquoise, coral, mustard yellow, red, black, white, and gold. The surfaces are alive with hand-drawn details — tiny dots, swirling spirals, grids, and stripes — creating a patchwork effect that feels both spontaneous and carefully balanced.
During the course, several tricks and drawing techniques will be shared, helping you to enhance your surface designs, balance your color palette. You’ll leave not only with a unique jewelry set but also with new skills transforming leftover clay into something radiant and meaningful.
